I love the updates on the fam! We were so lucky to share Mia and Roshan’s special day. You guys are going to be rockstars as grandparents. Jim and I hope to join that club soon, especially since I’ll be retired at the end of the month and will have plenty of time to help with any and all babies! Love to all in your family!
Mazel tov on the weddings, babies, and improving health, Jon!
I'll share some good news here: I'm returning to my memoir in a couple of weeks after having not touched it well over two years.
Summer plans include visiting a state park every weekend and a trip to Toronto towards the tail end of the season.
Good news at the Loft: We were just awarded a significant, multi-year general operating grant from the Literary Arts Fund. It's a game-changer for us and the field. Woot woot!
Jon: Great to hear from/about you. Glad to know the health issues are being successfully managed. We are in San Francisco this week tending to granddaughter #1 while mom and dad work. It is utterly delightful and happy to hear that experience is in your future.
Hi Jon, I’m so happy to read about all the joys with your lovely family. We miss you as the perfect neighbors you were! Please send our love and congratulations to everyone! I do miss the old neighborhood. I’m glad to hear that you are doing better health wise and it sounds like you have hooked up with a stellar team. We are back in the Mpls area a bit more these days as we have a new granddaughter. Wishing you all the best!
Come by some time when you're in town! You would recognize most of the neighbors - older, grayer, slower but still most recognizable! - and you can see what's been done to your old house! Say hi to Bill for us!
Hi Jon - I was wondering too, but you know, stuff. Gotta finish mowing the yard - not right to call it a lawn - more to come. And congrats on the imminent grandparent situation, you guys are gonna be great!
Great to have you back. Other than that little fracas in Minnesota you mentioned, not much has been happening in the world. It's a Golden Age, or so we have been told. Congratulations on all the good news in yoir family. Our gatherings keep growing and nothing brings me more delight. Stay healthy, enjoy the new grand and keep writing.

Julie -
Great news on all fronts! Keep writing, keep traveling and keep keeping the Loft going!
Jon,
That’s a lot of stuff and the best part is the update on your ‘kids’. Let’s do lunch in the hood soon. Texting you now!

Yup, makes sense. I'll give you a call, and maybe we'll be able to get together for a beer before the end of the year!
